Park visit

Chest Pains

I have noticed as Madison gets older it becomes harder to photograph her. I have decided to make it a point to blog more and take more photos during our crazy hectic lives.

Today we walked to the park. It's a mile or three blocks past the fire station. I have mixed feelings about living next to a fire station but that's a completely different story. Madison was eager to get to the park. She seemed to have fun or as much fun as she could by herself. On the way back she was crying saying her chest hurt. All the panic fear and memories of the hospital came flooding back. I don't have a clue what is wrong with either of my children. We had gone to the heart doctors recently and he said no cause for concern... But still she's crying clutching her chest it's terrifying.

She said everything in her body hurt except for her brain. She said she was so tired she wanted to just lay down and sleep. This of course after a 3 hour nap.

We've added fish oil and iron supplements hoping that will help. I'm not sure what it is but makes me nervous.

Pink Fur

Madison wanted a pink furry bears hat. Turns out beige and hot pink fur looks like brains and thin hair. I have yet to add the ears and scarf. I need to rewrite the ears pattern for the pattern makes two squares for ears. I think they should be more round if anything. I thought about adding two bobbing eyeballs instead but we will see.

it makes for a fun pink wig also.

Playground fun

Madison was getting ready for bed and I noticed a scratch on her shoulder. I had to know what happened.

Madison: "I scraped it on the tree at school"
Me: "How?"
Madison: "I was running away from the boys."
Me: "Why?"
Madison: wide-eyed she stomps her feet and throws her arms down straight at her sides and her little nose wrinkles "Because they wanna marry me!"

It has already begun and she's only 4... We are in trouble.

Growing up

She is getting so big yet remains so tiny. She's like a tiny person now.

She is the sweetest little girl. She cares so much for brother. This weekend she is visiting her cousins. As soon as she walked out the door I missed her. Brother didn't understand and shook his head reaching for the door. I thought it was so sweet.

She asked if while she was gone if I was going to clean like crazy and was worried that I wouldn't sleep. Then said if I decide to go nuts on the house she hopes I make her room pretty too. I guess I can't say no to that.

Little Brother

Brother is our special needs child. He requires extra attention due to his skin condition. Otherwise he's perfectly healthy.

Madison is now taking Fairytales and Tutus Ballet. Each week they learn a new pose followed by a story and then get to dress up as the character.

Today it was LalaLoopsy. Madison I the third one from the left.

Carrots Please

Last week I took Madison to the store. She squeals and said "Carrots! Mom can I have these carrots... Please!"

You would've thought she had to pee she was so excited. I thought nothing of it until I realized everyone in the produce section was staring at us like she just screamed bomb or something. The lady next to us was gaping at her almost open mouthed. She said what a relief it is to hear a small child ask for carrots rather than candy. I suppose I am used to the way we eat. Of course at that point I couldn't say no.

Arts and Crafts

This last week Madison was having some serious bloody noses. We took a day to go to a ENT. I wasn't very impressed with him or his office.

At least we got to spend some time doing something fun. Madison loves arts and crafts especially panting. She was making a rainbow house.

Swings

Seems like only a few days ago she was terrified of these. Now she wants to go as high as they can reach. It's amazing how fast she is growing.

Butterflies

My sister and mother took her to a butterfly exhibit. She came back with a butterfly necklace holder and bughouse. Nana bought her some animal squinkies to go inside the house with cut up pieces of green paper. She is very proud of them.

She had a blast. My sister's soon to be mother in law bought her a pink blow up pool toy which also had a blue one. Madison said "I dont want the blue one but can I take it for my brother for when hes older?" Everyone went "ahhhhhh".

She is the sweetest girl and Im so grateful she love love loves her brother.

Plane Trip

It's been awhile since we have posted. In the last year I think I've realized how much she is growing up and I think the transition happened from small toddler to actual little girl in the last year.

Just in length alone she's practically doubled in size. She's somehow gotten skinnier and her clothes just slide down her stick figure.

She is going into Pre-K in 1 week. This weekend was the first time she'd traveled without mom. She went with Nana to see my sister for the weekend. They of course had a blast. I think it was much needed for her as she has been having a difficult time adjusting to brother.

She came into the house and said "Why is it so clean in here? You know mom you should sleep when it's night time. How'd you get all this work done?"

I guess I got a little OCD while she was away. I didn't realize how much of my attention she requires until she wasn't here. I went extreme OCD on everything.
