STUCK IN BED

Madison is paying more and more attention to the things we do. She is learning how to roll over and roll back over. She woke this morning ooo-ing and aaawww-ing. I went to check on her and found her on her belly turned around in her crib with a leg sticking out of the crib spaces. She was stuck and couldn't figure out how to get unstuck. It was funny seeing a leg sticking out of the crib, but I wonder if I should put in the bumper that came with the bedding.

ORGANIC PAJAMAS

MADEE WITH NEW TOY

NEW TOY

ORGANIC BLANKET

Grandma came to visit. She bought us an organic set including a blanket, pajamas, and beanie. I LOVE it. It's incredibly soft. Madison loves the dark light contrast.

HAND PRINTS

Bought some wannabe clay to take a hand print. Its this gooey weird substance. I think I was looking for something more like plaster, but it's hard to find.

BUMBO CHAIR

We went house shopping today, and I was worried about taking Madison out in the heat. (aka the oven we live in... our neighbor being the SUN) Since 'DAD' is out of town, I thought we could ask the grandparents to watch her.

This was a perfect excuse for her to spend time with the grandparents, but not be left alone with 'DAD'. Am I punishing him? Yeah, until he is sober, drug-free, and THUG FREE... yes you better believe I am going to throw a fit about him being left alone with her.

So Grandma sounded nervous about watching her. She slept most of the time, but she LOVED it over there. His brother's little boy came over to play (10months) and she loved him. She sat in this adorable chair and tried talking to him. They look so much alike, which it is amazing how dominant his family's features are. The moment we tried to take her out of the chair she did not like that... So I thought I would buy her one. She seems to like it a lot. She better considering the FOAM chair was outrageously priced! You can buy a tray to put on top separate, of course.

What baby doesn't like the car? Oh apparently my baby.... it's got to be the heat because let me promise you there are days (like yesterday) where I too want to scream at the top of my lungs because I am uncomfortable.... I am sure that wouldn't go over too well with the surrounding adults. Must be nice being able to do whatever you want and have someone wait on you hand and foot. If only we could remember those days...

4 MONTH DOCTOR VISIT

We went to the doctor today. WE LOVE HIM! Dr. Mendoza is his name! He gives us more attention than the average doctor, he understands what I am all about, and provides that within his treatments.

She has a virus. Just boogers and snot, but he didn't want to give her any medicines unless it was an infection so he said to come back in 5 days.

She is within the 25 percentile in weight (12lbs) and at the top of the chart in height. She is in the 90th percentile in length at 25 1/2 inches. He said her heart sounds good, and there could be a possibility that the holes closed on their own, or they got smaller. We go at 6 months to the heart doctor to find out.

The nurse gave me the inserts from the shot boxes on the MMR shot (mumps, measles, rubella) and the DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and pertussis) so i can read up on the ingredients. I thought that was super nice. So those inserts that have all the warnings and side effects that no one ever pays attention to... I got them to read. I still haven't done the shots yet, but they seemed to be okay with the idea of waiting until she is one or two years old.

HER NEW NICKNAME

I decided we can call her TOAD.... (I am still partial to CHUCK, but this one makes more sense) She rolled over onto her belly, but she doesn't like her legs being touched, covered, or hidden. So this is the pose she climbs into. My little 'TOAD'... she does this every time you place her on her belly. It is called 'FROG' pose in yoga, but it is for the more advanced yogi because ADULTS cannot lay flat and do it for long periods of time... A natural! She is going to be doing yoga before we know it... :O)

SHE ROLLED OVER

It figures... the day after my parents and my sister leave the country, MADEE ROLLS OVER! I wanted to call them! Then I wanted to text them... I figured that the 5 bucks it would cost for a text message was worth it, but I didn't. I hope they check my blog at least.

I had Madison on her back and she rolled over. She HATES being on her belly so she started to fuss. I put her back on her back and she did it again. It was great!

1ST FOURTH OF JULY

Fourth of July once upon a time was my FAVORITE holiday. First we went to the Hard Rock. I KNOW who takes a baby to a Casino. Talk about feeling OLD... I got lost first of all, then I was in awww like I was the small child. Amazing how three years ago this was my second home, yet now I felt lost and overwhelmed. We met up with a friend, Madison LOVES her. I must say, my friends are pretty incredible to meet up with me and help me with the baby if needed.

Then we went to Lake Las Vegas. I thought about the previous year and what I was doing as I walked past the spot where I had sat to watch fireworks. Things are drastically different now. Madison and I walked around with her backpack carrier, and of course people love babies everyone wants to see her. It amazes me how babies can just brighten up a room. No matter how grumpy the person they see a baby smile at them and it's like a ray of sunshine comes out of them.

She did not like the heat or the fireworks ( the heat thing she gets from her dad ). She was so tired seeing as they didn't start until 9pm, but she would not go to sleep ( that part she gets from me ). She would be about to fall asleep and she'd open her eyes annoyed by the noise from the fireworks. She would get these strange looks on her face, and if they got too loud she would make noises. I never noticed before how loud they can be. I hear they do not begin to like the fireworks until about 3 years old. Well at least she liked her carrier.

OUR NEW OUTFIT

We love the new outfit. It's so cute! My favorite color is orange. We wore a few of the dresses too I just have not had a moment to post pictures. This one is 3-6 months, which the shorts are rather baggy so we have some growing room. The clothes were much needed. Thank you!
