Madison went to the Heart Doctor for a six month check up. Every six months we have to see Dr. Robert Rollins. He is a really nice guy. He saw us when we were pregnant so he seems connected to her and excited about her growth.
Madison is 14lbs 4oz and 27 inches long. She is a skinny bean. She is in the 10th and 20th percentile in weight and between 75th and 90th in height.
She still has two holes in her heart, but they are closing slowly. You can no longer hear the heart murmur but you can see the tiny holes on a high powerful ultrasound. He is hopeful that in six months the holes will be closed so we are to return to see Dr. Rollins in six months.
Madison is the BEST baby EVER! Everyone loves looking at her. It is so fun to watch people and their expressions when they come in contact with Madison for the first time. The nurses were in aaww over her since she did not cry once while in the doctors office. They were sticking wires and cords on her to do an ECG and and ultrasound. She just stares at them. They of course comment on how beautiful she is and how calm. I guess babies cry a lot, but Madison does not cry unless something is wrong and even then I have to check. I got water in her eyes while giving her a bath and she just looks up at me with a confused stare on her face.
One person even comment, "That is the best baby EVER! What is your secret?" I would like to say because she is related to ME. However, I really believe the natural calm quiet birthing had a lot to do with it, which then again that in a way is totally ME. :o)
